Down to Earth

Down To Earth
Christmas in John’s Gospel doesn’t begin in a stable—it begins in eternity. Before there was a manger, there was the Word: God Himself, stepping into our darkness with a light no amount of brokenness can overcome. He didn’t remain distant or abstract; He moved into our neighborhood, bringing grace and truth right into the middle of our everyday lives.
John the Baptist reminds us that we’re not the Light—we’re witnesses, pointing toward the One already standing among us. And on Christmas Eve, we behold Him again: the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, inviting every one of us to come and see.
This is Christmas down to earth.
The eternal Word with a human face.
The Light who still shines.
The Lamb who still saves.
The Savior who still calls.
